What is Everest On-Demand?
Everest On-Demand is a software deployment option where Everest Software hosts, operates and maintains its business management software solution on the customer's behalf. Unlike certain more traditional license-based models where the software is locally deployed and maintained by the business at its own location, On-Demand is offered on a per-user subscription basis. On-Demand customers access the hosted software via their existing broadband Internet connection.
Do I own the software?
No. The On-Demand program is more like renting the software as opposed to acquiring a perpetual use license. Fees for On-Demand provide the customer with access to the software and cover license 'rental', software maintenance, upgrades, hardware purchase, maintenance, hosting services fees and more.
Is there a way I can install the software at my location?
Yes. On-Demand customers who later decide to bring their business management software in-house and can provide the necessary IT support may do so with an upgrade purchase. In addition to loading/running the software and company data locally, the customer would switch from an On-Demand subscription to a perpetual ('On-Premise') license agreement.
Is it easy to add more users?
Yes. Contact your account manager anytime you'd like to add access for more users.
Do I need my own hardware?
All you need is a PC with a broadband Internet connection that has a remote desktop client software installed (included with Windows XP). Everest will supply the necessary hardware, software and facilities for hosting the software.
Can I bring information over from my old system?
Everest does provide optional data migration services and offers a wide variety of migration options depending on the amount and type of information you would like to bring from your old business management system. Customers can work with Everest representatives to get an estimate or determine the feasibility of transferring any existing data.
Can I have a Website with the On-Demand offering?
Yes. Everest offers robust website and e-commerce capabilities with its business management software and this is an available option with the On-Demand service.
Can I obtain back-ups of my own data?
Yes. There is an optional service available which provides you with regular back-ups of your entire database. The standard On-Demand service only includes periodic data back-ups, which are then stored at our secured off-site facility.
How long does implementation take?
Conditions for installation will vary from business to business but it typically takes only a few weeks to get employees up and accessing the software, including attending a series of training courses.
Do you offer training and support?
Yes. Complete training and support are offered with On-Demand. Customers also have free, unlimited access to recorded training sessions which are available online as part of the standard On-Demand service.
What is the term commitment and when is payment due?
A minimum one-year commitment is required and payments are due on a quarterly basis in advance. Customers also have the option to pay in advance for a full year's service.
What features are included with On-Demand?
Everest On-Demand includes all key business management software functionality, including accounting, purchasing, inventory management, shipping, marketing, sales, contact management, salesforce automation, reports, and e-mail. E-commerce, U.S. Payroll, and Point of Sale features are also available as optional services.
