Planet Inc. was using two
business management software systems one for ERP and one for e-Commerce (NetSuite
and Infopia respectively). The two disparate
solutions presented
a few problems
for Planet Inc.
First, the previous
software was
delivered via
an on-demand
/ hosted solution
and the NetSuite
system was constantly
crashing, especially
when any upgrades
were made to
the system.
And because
Planet Inc.
did not manage
the system,
they had limited
control and
visibility into
problem resolution.
Secondly, Planet
Inc. was outgrowing
the capabilities
and functionalities
of both vendors.
Planet Inc. initially selected the vendors based on what they perceived as low cost / low
risk purchasing the functionality needed at the time for the lowest price, but not selecting
vendors that could keep pace with their product and inventory growth.. "The frequency
of vendor issues
was negatively
impacting our
bottom-line,"
explained Scott
LaPointe, IT
director, Planet
Inc.
For the company to grow, it was imperative they implement a business operating system that offered:
| » |
Industry specific functionality - managing matrixed - items and e-Commerce via a single software solution |
| » |
A distributed software solution that gives Planets Inc.
full management & control |
| » |
The ability to fully integrate into an e-Commerce environment |
| » |
The ability for Planet Inc. to grow with the software's functionality |
| » |
A dynamic storefront that ensures product availability & pricing is always accurate and keeps customers coming back to www.planetshoes.com |

Customer Feedback
"Planet Inc. has experienced record breaking revenues since implementing Everest," said LaPointe. "We continue to increase sales month-over-month and are pleased to have Everest Software as our ERP Partner."
